Hi, I’m Emlen. I was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA and can’t seem to get enough of it. I love the food scene here, the beauty and the greatness that this town has to offer. I love going out to eat at the bazillion restaurants in C’ville and will try to share links to my favorites around town. I teach elementary school here in C’ville and love what I do. But I am a complete foodie and constantly think about new recipes and what I’ll be having for my next meal. My parents and friends lovingly call me a “food whore”. I love salty, savory foods (so you won’t find many deserts on here, sorry!). And wine. I will do my best to share my favorite budget-friendly wines, but I will warn you that I am no sommelier – just a wine lover! I don’t ever really follow a recipe, I just use it as a guideline for my cooking. I hope you enjoy making and tasting my recipes! Bon appetit!
